Chinese Checkers Origin
About the game
- 2, 3, 4, or 6 players can be part of this game. When six players are playing the game, all triangles and pegs are utilized.
- When four players are playing the game, the play will begin with two pairs of opposite facing triangles. On the other hand, when two players are playing the game, the game is played from triangles opposing each other.
- In a set of 3 players, the pegs begin with three triangles located at an equal distance from each other.
Chinese Checkers Gameplay
- Every player picks a color, along with tent pegs of similar color positioned in an appropriately colored triangle.
- As per specific rules, it is said that the triangles that aren’t used should be left filled along with their respective unutilized pegs as not to be utilized in the game.
- The game starts with a coin toss where the toss decides the player who can start. Next, the player shifts a single peg of their respective colors one by one. With one turn, a single pin can be changed to the adjoining hole; it can take one or more hops across other pegs.
- When the hopping move is attempted, every trip should be placed over the next pin to an empty hole, further side of it.
- Every hop can be across any of the colored pegs along with players peg and continue in any of the six directions.
- After every hop player can finish or continue the game by hopping across another pin. At some stances, the player can shift a peg right from the very first triangle over the board and to the opposite facing triangle just in a single turn.
